Not fun when you have to exit the camper to get into the driver's position. Vast weight raises the center of gravity of the pickup making it very unstable unless you have a dually pickup with surplus carrying capacity in addition to the camper's dry weight.

That is one place in Colorado I want to visit. Must be awesome views. All the different things to see at one time. 13 and 14 thousand foot mountains, the grasslands and the there's the dunes. What aa unique place.

Thank you for the great tips. We take a lot of road trips. There is a free app that we always use. It's called I-EXIT. I've never even had to create an account to use it. It tells you what is at every exit (gas, food, lodging, rest stops). It tells you how far it is and even which way to turn after your exit. It's our most used app while on the road. It is only for interstates though and not smaller roads.

Tourist trap. They bring in the revenue from tourists, & do little to improve their city. Stationed at Pete Field in 82-84. Went back for a couple years '22-'24 & it was like time stood still. Just saying.

I have enjoyed watching your videos of Tucson and southern Arizona. After 30 years in Colorado Springs, I was chasing beach life and move to the coast of North Carolina 2 1/2 years ago. I now know that’s not my place. So I spent last April in Mesa to start checking out Arizona and I’m now going to be spending next winter there again and I really hope and planned to spend a lot of time in Tucson and Southeast Arizona. I am having my adventure and one of the super nice RV resorts with the park model homes. I knew nothing about this type of vacation or wintering because I’m not coming from somewhere with a lot of snow and cold just somewhere that is dreary and cloudy and just a little too cool in the winter. I found I’m really missing Colorado but I seem drawn to Arizona for some reason. So we will see what happens next winner! If you guys go to Oracle I would love to hear about your experience that somewhere I really want to see and check out I know it’s super small.

We love the bighorns- we live in Gillette so go there all the time…. Rain in June is typical! We haven’t hiked up to the lookout- we tried to make it up there on the snowmobiles last winter but didn’t get all the way. Might have to check it out this summer.

Colorado resident here. I love the Colorado Springs area It has been a long time since I was up Pikes Peak, back then it was still a lot of dirt road which did add a little excitement.

Nice list! My wife of 52 years and I have been camping in one form or another since the wedding. I won't go into all of the ways, but we are on TC#5. Another thing to add on #10, cover that window! On our latest I made a wood frame, 2 layers or the silver mylar bubble insulation and covered in a 'leather/vinyl material, looks like a headboaed. We like it dark in the bedroom, so also added 2 hinged insulated covers for the side windows, same construction, the hinge up and have a catch when we want the windows open. Your kitchen faucet is just as I have done to the TC, but also to the previous camper (travel trailer). We also removed the microwave, and made a door to cover, our toasrter, elec perk and stove type coffee pot go in there along with a few other items. Here is one for you, and you may have it there, but a ratcheting paper towel holder. No more finding a pile of paper towel on the counter! We did that in 2 campers and the house. I haven't gone to the extent you guys did with batteries, I still have lead acid, but added aux battery to the truck, isolator for charging, and battery monitors on both it and the house batt. Solar suitcase to set up on site with its own MPPT controller. No BT with it, but the monitors have it. We have the scissor stairs, didn't think I would like them but they are fine, we have the hitch extension because we tow our fun car on a dolly. LED lights throughout replacing all the incandescent bulbs for low battery draw. We do carry a generator for 110v when needed. Anyway, long post on my part, but you guys did a great job on this. Oh, the Thule pod, had one on our first TC 27 years ago, had to weld up some Thule bars to get across the roof. Nice way of getting some extra storage.

As a Tucson Native born and raised one piece of advice is watch your cat. As peaceful and relaxing as the desert seems there are many animals and creatures lurking everywhere. Rattle snakes, javelinas, tarantulas, large hawks, bull snakes, coyotes and so much more. They love to sneak and hide in places they don’t belong creating sneak attacks on predators or food. I’ve lost animals due to these types of animals and would hate to see you lose your beautiful cat 🐈. Good luck and stay hydrated during these extremely hot summer days!! 🫶🏼

I have a bucket all made up with a linner in it for number two with the lid. Then I can sit on this bucket after going put the lid down and shower ontop of it outside. I got the pump spray bottles and the ten dollars solar bag too. Paul in Ohio
